Copy and paste the interview questions for the type of business or mission that fits yours, and answer them in an email to nicole@cookingslim.org
Your interview will be edited for spelling and grammar, so don’t worry if you’re not the world’s greatest writer or something. Also, don’t forget to include your preferred name or pseudonym, your website address, and whatever contact or ordering information you want viewers to have.
Be advised that we do not accept spam articles or affiliate links. If you’re promoting some kind of program, you’d better be either the owner of it, or a well known enough partner or associate that you’re representing it. We also don’t accept calorie counting diet advocates or people who promote non consensual veganism to minors.
We are alternative lifestyle friendly, and don’t mind at all if your quest for a more natural life has led you to anything else safe, sane, and consensual. We might even ask you to do another interview for our mother site, ModernTraditional.com.
Now, onto the questions…
Chefs, Food Suppliers, Caterers, and Cooks
What do you do, and what kind of products/services does your business provide?
When did you start your business, and what inspired you?
What is the overall philosophy of your business?
What is your most popular product/service? Tell us a bit about that.
How natural is your business? (We want to know if you’re using free range meats and animal products, sourdough or hops yeast or like breads, lactofermented condiments and pickles, green cleaning supplies, ethically farmed vegetables, and the like. If it’s less than perfect, which is understandable because of availability issues in many areas, speak out on what would make that easier for you and what you hope things will be like in the future.)
Do you find it more or less difficult or expensive to keep to a relatively natural policy?
If it is more difficult or expensive, what makes it all worth it for you?
Do you have any suppliers/sources that you believe deserve more love? If so, plug their business here.
Is there anything else you’d like to say about your business and/or natural cooking?
Is there a recipe that you’d like to share with home cooks using one or more of your products, or favorite techniques? (This recipe will be posted on a different page, but linked to your site and this interview.)
Fitness and Dance Instructors, Trainers, and Activity Group Leaders
What kind of services do you provide, or what’s the purpose of your group?
What would you say is your overall philosophy about movement, dance, and/or activity?
Have you always been an active person, or was there a time in your life when you weren’t? If you had a low period, what was it that got you active? How did you get into your style(s) of dance/exercise?
Why do you think so many people are so obsessed with counting calories instead of burning them?
Why do you think those who get the need to burn them, often still miss the joy in moving itself?
How do you help people to find the joy in movement?
Tell us about a case (no names please) of a special person you helped to get fit.
How do you feel about body image? Do you think society places too much emphasis on a particular look of fitness rather than the actions of fitness?
What does “healthy” mean to you?
Do you think there is such a thing as physical depression? (Someone who may feel emotionally depressed because of lack of physical activity…caged animal issues.)
What would you like to say to someone out there who may be pent up, physically, depressed, and/or down on themselves?
Any other thoughts you’d like to share?
